"Peace is not
the absence of conflict.
It is the ability
to handle conflict
without losing yourself."
You meet the world.
But do you really connect?
As nomads and community builders, we are experts at adapting. We move to new countries, navigate new cultures, and smile through awkward dinners. But often, our "peace" is just disguised avoidance.
Avoiding conflict.
We build Silent Walls under the name of "Boundaries." "I just won't deal with them." "I'll keep my distance." "I'm protecting my energy." It sounds healthy, but rigid boundaries are just a cage with a nicer name. We end up safe, but isolated.
Draining ties.
Boundaries That Connect, Not Divide
In the Dojo, we learn a different way.
One that honors your needs
without dismissing their humanity.
One that allows you to say "No" to a request,
but "Yes" to the relationship.
Stop building walls.
Start building bridges.
It’s time to
stop being "nice"
and start being real.
Peace doesn't just happen. It requires training.
WHY THE DOJO?
We are conditioned to avoid difficult conversations or to speak with aggression. True connection is not a soft skill; it is a discipline. NVC is the "Martial Art of the Heart." To master it, we need a safe space to practice facing discomfort with courage. This is not just a vacation—it is a training ground to build your conversational muscles and reclaim your agency in relationships.
Why 15 Days instead of a 3-Day Intensive? We’ve seen it happen too often: You go to a weekend workshop, feel amazing, and then... "Real Life" hits you on Monday, and the magic fades. We chose a different path. We want you to learn NVC while you answer emails, while you explore a new city, and while you navigate dinner plans with new friends. We practice in the messiness of real life, because that is where the practice belongs.
Slow down. Let it sink in. Let it stick.
THE EXPERIENCE
(What We Do)
Don't Pause Your Life.
Upgrade It.
We believe NVC shouldn't be learned in a bubble.
We designed a rhythm
where you can work, live, and explore
while integrating the practice into your real life.
☀️ The Morning Dojo:
Slow & Steady
The Rhythm: We practice in the mornings (09:30 – 12:30), roughly 4-5 times a week.
Why this works: You invest your prime morning energy into growth, leaving the rest of the day open. Whether you need to sync with Asian business hours, prepare for Western shifts, or simply rest, the schedule respects your life.
Free Days: We include full days off. Use them to catch up on deep work or get lost in the city.
Absorption over Cramming.
Unlike intense 3-day workshops
that overwhelm you,
we spread the learning over 15 days.
🤝 Tribe Life
& Co-creation
We provide the container; You fill it with life.
We are not a travel agency that spoon-feeds you entertainment. We are a community that builds together.
The Tribe System: Participants form small "Tribes" that rotate weekly.
The Practice: You co-create your own adventures—whether it’s a sunset hike, a local market run, or a jazz night.
Real-World NVC: Deciding where to eat or how to travel with a group is not a chore; it is your gym. Navigating different needs and making decisions together IS the lesson.
🏡 Pop-up Coliving & Coworking
Your Housemates are Your Mirrors.
Living together is the fastest way to grow,
but we also respect your need for focus.
Workspace: Our venue, 4Seas, offers fast WiFi and professional productive workspace. We honor "Deep Work" hours so you can maintain your career.
Kitchen Wisdom: The shared kitchen and lounge are where the theory meets reality. When friction happens over unwashed dishes, we don't avoid it—we use it to practice connection.

THE CURRICULUM
Week 1: Internal Foundation
– The Inner Work
Authentic communication begins with an honest look at your internal landscape. In this first week, we focus on unmasking the inner critic, expanding your emotional vocabulary, and building the essential support structures needed for deep empathy and presence.
-
The Struggle: Do you often swallow your true thoughts to be "nice," only to resent the person later? Or do you judge people silently in your head ("What an idiot...") but never say it?
The Transformation: Learn to use your inner judgments (The Jackal) not as weapons, but as clues to what matters to you.
What You Will Gain: The courage to stop being "nice" and start being real—without being mean.
-
The Struggle: "I'm fine," "I'm busy," "I'm stressed." Is your emotional vocabulary limited to these three words? When we can't name what we feel, we can't let it inform us.
The Transformation: Move beyond "good/bad" and discover the nuance of your emotional landscape.
What You Will Gain: The ability to pinpoint exactly what is happening inside you, so you don't get overwhelmed or shut down.
-
The Struggle: When a friend or colleague shares a problem, do you immediately jump to advice? ("You should just do this...") Does it often make them feel unheard or annoyed?
The Transformation: Learn the superpower of Presence. Discover how to listen to the human behind the words, without taking on the burden of solving their life for them.
What You Will Gain: Deep relief. You don't have to carry everyone's problems anymore. You just need to be with them.
-
• The Struggle:When conflict hits or life falls apart, many of us have no one who can truly listen without judging or fixing. We isolate or reach out—and still feel alone.
• The Transformation: Learn how to intentionally create structures of support: empathy buddies, listening agreements, and community practices that make presence available when you actually need it.
• What You Will Gain: A deep sense of safety. Knowing you can access empathic listening during conflicts or hard life periods changes everything—you stop drowning alone and regain clarity and dignity.
-
The Struggle:
We mistake our strategies for our needs. When someone says “No,” it feels personal, and conflict quickly turns into pressure, withdrawal, or self-doubt.
The Transformation:
Learn to distinguish needs from strategies. Discover how every “No” is actually a Yes to another need, and how needs—unlike strategies—are never in conflict.
What You Will Gain:
Stability and clarity. You’ll stop taking “No” personally and gain the ability to stay connected, creative, and respectful—even when agreement isn’t possible.
Week 2: External Mastery
– The Art of Connection
Armed with self-awareness,
we step into the "Dojo"
of real-world interaction.
This week covers the practical mechanics of clear observation,
the courage to navigate intense conflict,
and the vital practice of
processing grief and gratitude
to sustain healthy relationships.
-
The Struggle: "You always ignore me!" "You are lazy." Most conflicts start because we mix facts with our stories.
The Transformation: Learn to describe reality like a camera lens—neutrally and clearly. When you remove the blame from your observation, the other person stops defending and starts listening.
What You Will Gain: The skill to bring up difficult topics without starting a fight within the first 10 seconds.
-
The Struggle: Do you hint at what you want and hope they guess it? Or do you ask, but get angry when they say no?
The Transformation: Learn the specific syntax of a "Do-able Request."
What You Will Gain: The freedom to ask for exactly what you need, and the grace to handle a "No" without taking it personally.
-
• The Struggle:We are often our own harshest critics. When pressure rises, we disconnect from ourselves and lose the capacity to stay present with others.
• The Transformation: Learn to turn toward your inner experience with intimacy and care. Simple somatic practices help you ground your nervous system and listen to what’s alive in you and others.
• What You Will Gain: The ability to become your own support. A practical inner anchor that helps you slow down, regulate, and respond consciously—even in the heat of conflict.
-
The Struggle: When the stakes are high and emotions run hot, all theory goes out the window. We either fight (attack) or flight (withdraw).
The Transformation: Role-play real-life scenarios. Practice hearing the "Yes" behind someone's aggressive "No."
What You Will Gain: Confidence. Knowing that even if a conversation gets messy, you have the tools to repair it and stay connected.
-
The Struggle: We rush through life. We skip over what worked, suppress what hurt, and keep moving—until exhaustion or bitterness catches up with us.
The Transformation: Learn to consciously mourn what didn’t work and celebrate what did. Through an NVC-based gratitude practice, you’ll notice where needs are already being met, allowing you to step back into the natural wheel of giving and receiving.
What You Will Gain: A sense of wholeness and renewal. When experience is digested as it happens, your heart stays lighter—you feel resourced, connected, and able to give from fullness rather than effort.

Your Guides on the Journey
We come from the worlds of Neuroscience, Environmental Science, and Community Building. We realized that neither better data nor stricter house rules can save us. Only the capacity to be human together can.
Yeji Cheon
" The Heart & The Bridge "
(Founder of Seoul Nooks, Cultural Alchemist)
"I was a conflict avoider running a coliving house. NVC became my survival tool."
Yeji is the founder of Seoul Nooks, a coliving community in Korea. She isn't just an organizer; she is a survivor of community conflict. She brings the "Field Wisdom" of living with strangers for 6 years. As an Asian woman with deep roots in Korea and Japan, she acts as a cultural bridge, helping us navigate the subtle, unspoken nuances of communication that words often miss.
-
From Burnout to Belonging: "For over six years, I have run Seoul Nooks. But honestly? I was a conflict avoider. Just before our first anniversary, a major conflict broke out. I was burnt out and wanted to run away, but my lease bound me. Forced to face the fire, I turned to NVC as a survival tool. It wasn't magic at first. But as we started to truly live these tools, the cold silence in our house turned into warmth. Today, we are known as a 'loving community'—not because we are perfect, but because we know how to repair our connections."
Why This Dojo Exists: "I realized that real change doesn't happen in a weekend workshop. It happens in the kitchen, over dinner, when tired people try to understand each other. I created this 2-week curriculum to share that essence. I invite you to Chiang Mai to borrow the generosity of nature and create space in our hearts."
My Role: The Cultural Bridge: "While Martina and Matthias guide the deep dives, I hold the space and bridge the gaps.
The Practitioner: With NVC Level 3 (CNVC) training, I have facilitated countless Town Halls and workshops for nomads.
The Cultural Lens: Having lived in Korea and Japan, I offer a unique perspective on 'Hidden Expectations' and cultural judgments. I help us see how our backgrounds shape the way we listen and speak."
Martina Pesce
" The Embodied Scientist "
(Neuroscience background, Warmth, Playfulness)
"My mission is to create a space
where everyone is heard and seen."
Born in Italy and trained in Neuroscience in Amsterdam, Martina brings a unique blend of scientific curiosity and deep emotional intelligence. She doesn't just teach NVC; she dances it. Her approach is embodied, playful, and deeply compassionate. She trained with renowned teachers like Yoram Mosenzon and Dominic Barter.
-
From Research to Heart: "I used to study Neuroscience in Amsterdam because I loved research. But I realized the academic life didn't allow me to care for myself. I wanted to contribute to a more empathetic culture."
Why NVC? (The Mother Story): "I applied the basics of NVC in a conflict with my mum—a relationship where I had no hope left. Through this language, I felt love for my mum for the first time in 20 years. Today, what touches me most is how it changed the way I speak to myself. Every time I welcome myself with compassion, life becomes wonderful."
Transparency & Lineage: "I have been offering sessions for over 3 years. I trained with the school 'Connecting2life' and am currently in the process of becoming a certified trainer with CNVC. I love integrating NVC with movement and dance, because the body doesn't lie."
Matthias Flury
The Grounded Visionary "
(Environmental Science, Systemic Change, Steadiness)
"This work didn’t make me softer. It made me braver."
A former environmental scientist from ETH Zurich, Matthias joined the climate movement to save the world, only to realize that "better solutions" fail without human connection. He brings a steady, grounded presence that creates safety for radical honesty. He works with people who are tired of "therapy cosplay" and want real depth.
-
The Breaking Point: "I studied environmental science to stop the destruction of our planet. We had the solutions—solar, circular systems. What we didn’t have was the capacity to be human together. I saw competition instead of cooperation everywhere. I felt tight, reactive, and alone."
Finding the Missing Piece: "I found NVC in 2019 not as a self-improvement project, but as a last honest question: Is there a way to stay open without being naïve? It taught me how to sit in discomfort without running. How to listen beneath words."
My Promise: "My presence is steady. I don’t rush. I don’t fix. I don’t flinch when things get uncomfortable. I care about emotional safety and radical honesty. Both. Always."
A Sanctuary for Immersion
Surrounded by the lush nature of Chiang Mai. Away from the city noise, we create a space for deep focus and rest.
Why I built the Dojo:
From Seoul Nooks to the World.
Hello, I'm Yeji, founder of Seoul Nooks. For 6 years, I’ve built communities in Seoul. I’ve seen the magic of strangers becoming family. But I also know the hidden cost. The exhaustion of "holding space." The swallowing of needs to keep the peace. I know many of you—nomads and leaders—feel this same silent weight.
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) was my breakthrough. It wasn't just "nice words." It was a survival skill that taught me to be kind and honest. It saved me from burnout.
But this is bigger than us. We live in a fractured world. I believe Digital Nomads are the "Agents of Connection" this era needs. We are the ones crossing borders and opening hearts. But passion alone isn't enough. We need training.
That is why I invited Martina and Matthias. They are not just my dear friends; they are master facilitators who I deeply respect. I wanted to offer you something deeper than a casual meetup—a professional, transformative practice.
I created this Dojo to support you. So you can keep building, traveling, and connecting without losing yourself.
Come for the skills. Stay for the movement.
With hope, Yeji
